Melba Jordan is originally from up north but moved to Augusta after living in Florida for over 25 years. She began her educational career there, where she taught for 11 years. She is currently teaching for Richmond County Schools System, just entering her 16th year as an educator. She holds various degrees and certifications within her field and is working on her doctorate from Brenau University. Though not from the medical field, Melba understands the importance of offering STEM opportunities to all students. As such, her hope is to bring more awareness of the LAUNCH program to more schools.
